How we predict marriage timing
We calculate your sidereal birth chart (Swiss Ephemeris, Lahiri ayanamsa, whole-sign houses), then follow the steps a Parashari astrologer uses:
- Promise. The 7th house and its lord (dignity, house, combustion), planets in and aspecting the 7th, Venus and Jupiter, the Venus–Jupiter link, Pap Kartari, Manglik dosha and the Navamsa (D9) 7th lord add or subtract points from a base of 60.
- Significators. Planets tied to marriage in your chart: the 7th lord, planets in the 7th, the karakas, planets aspecting the 7th, the 7th lord's dispositor, the 2nd and 11th lords and the Navamsa 7th lord. Rahu and Ketu act for the lord of the sign they occupy.
- Dasha. Every Mahadasha–Antardasha period is scored by how strongly its two lords signify marriage.
- Transit. For each month we check whether Jupiter and Saturn occupy or aspect your 7th house or its lord. Both together (double transit) counts most.
- Windows. Months where Dasha and transit agree are grouped into up to three windows of at most 18 months, starting no earlier than India's legal marriage age.
Reading your marriage chart
The 7th house and its lord
The 7th house is the house of marriage and partnership. A 7th lord placed in a kendra (1, 4, 7, 10) or trikona (5, 9), in its own or exaltation sign, supports a timely and steady marriage. In the 6th, 8th or 12th house, debilitated or combust, it tends to bring delay or effort.
Venus and Jupiter
Venus governs love, attraction and the pleasures of married life; Jupiter governs commitment, blessing and dharma. When Jupiter conjoins or aspects Venus, romance and stability come together. Jupiter's aspect on the 7th house is one of the most protective features a marriage chart can have.
Delay factors
Saturn in or aspecting the 7th, malefics on both sides of the 7th (Pap Kartari), Rahu or Ketu in the 7th and an unmitigated Manglik dosha are the usual signs of a later marriage. Delay often means a more considered match, not a worse one.
The Navamsa (D9)
The Navamsa is the divisional chart of marriage. A strong 7th lord or Venus there confirms the promise of the birth chart; a weak one asks for patience. It needs an accurate birth time.

Questions
How does astrology predict the time of marriage?
Vedic astrology combines three layers. The birth chart shows whether marriage is promised (the 7th house, its lord, Venus and Jupiter). The Vimshottari Dasha shows which years activate those planets. Transits of Jupiter and Saturn over the 7th house or its lord show the months when the promise is triggered. A window needs all three to agree.
Can I get a marriage prediction by date of birth only?
Yes. Without a birth time we count houses from your Moon sign (Chandra Lagna), the traditional fallback, and skip the Navamsa. The windows are still useful, but a birth time makes the 7th house and its lord exact, so the reading is sharper.
Why does the tool ask whether I am a man or a woman?
Classical texts read the spouse from a different planet: Venus in a man's chart and Jupiter in a woman's. If you prefer not to say, both are weighed equally.
What is a double transit?
When Jupiter and Saturn both occupy or aspect your 7th house or its lord at the same time. Many astrologers treat it as the strongest transit trigger for marriage, provided the Dasha also supports it.
Does a late-marriage indication mean I won't marry?
No. Factors such as Saturn aspecting the 7th or a 7th lord in the 6th, 8th or 12th house usually point to delay, maturity or effort, not denial. Most charts show several favourable windows across a lifetime.
Is Manglik dosha a problem for marriage?
