Navagraha · Budha

Mercury in Vedic Astrology

Intellect, speech, trade and the quick, adaptable mind.

Budha is the prince among the grahas: intelligence, speech, writing, commerce and wit. It takes on the nature of the planets it joins, so its company matters as much as its sign. A strong Mercury gives a sharp, articulate mind and business sense; an afflicted one gives nervousness or scattered thinking.
